Town of Banya

Town of Banya is situated in central Bulgaria in the beautiful Rose Valley. The region has the highest concentration of mineral springs in the world. Within a radius of 20 km they are about 60, and in Banya they are 10. After unsuccessful attempts at treatment in Karlovy Vary and Baden Baden, King Boris III was healed right here in Banya, where he built a summer palace and royal bath. The water treats rheumatism, diseases of the peripheral nervous system, and post-stroke conditions. The resort is open all year round and doctors recommend that you visit at least twice a year for 10 days for best results.

Here is one of the opinions of people who regularly visit the resort:
Violeta Tomanova, Sofia, Bulgaria: “The water is magical! My favorite place to have a vacation! I adore the mineral water of the town of Banya and would be happy if more people touch her healing power. My summer holiday is invariably associated with this town and the harmony that gives me.”

Bath “Banche” is an indoor bath built directly on the springs. Water is 35-37 degrees. The water treats neurological, joint and gynecological diseases. People call it “magic water”.

Mud bath is outdoor and has a mineral pool and two mud pools. People from all over the country and from abroad come to this unique place and benefit from the healing mud, while basking in the rays of the Bulgarian summer sun. Therapeutic mud stimulates blood circulation, respiration and metabolism of the body. It treats mainly rheumatism, arthritis and disc disease.

Come and discover for yourself why Banya is the resort with the best SPA in Eastern Europe and why people keep coming back again and again in search of better health and treatment through mineral water, curative mud and mild continental climate.
